Ocean City

A beach wedding inspired by Ocean City, New Jersey:

Design your save-the-dates using a vintage Ocean City postcard.

Leave welcome baskets in guests' hotel rooms with beach passes, gift certificates to Kohr Bros. frozen custard, and tickets to
Gillian's Wonderland--highlights include the giant ferris wheel and the carousel, where you can try to catch the golden ring.

Take your bridal party parasailing Friday afternoon before the wedding.

Rumor has it that "The Lady in White" haunts the historic
Flanders Hotel. Take your guests on a Friday night ghost tour around Ocean City. Then roast smores around a beach bonfire. You can also rent out a mini golf course, the arcade, or the go-cart park.

The hotel provides
catering for weddings, and I love some of the ideas they came up with:
1. Fresh Mack N Manco pizza to be served during dancing.
2. A potato bar
3. A raw bar and caviar bar
4. A "Taste of the Boardwalk" station, complete with Shrivers saltwater taffy, fudge, macaroons, funnel cake, and Johnson's popcorn.
5. Chocolate fountains with fruit, Oreos, Pringles, and marshmallows.

On Sunday, cater a brunch with fresh apple cider donuts from
Ove's. Then rent surreys or bikes for guests on the boardwalk.
