Window Invitation

Invitation: Beautifully Handmade created this window card for a window treatment business, but what an idea to translate to a wedding! You could model the invitation after the stained glass windows of your church (or use this idea for the program). You could also build a wedding theme around windows, which I think are a beautiful symbol of love. I love this poem by Robert Frost called "Wind and Window Flower". After a cathedral wedding, you could host your event in a venue full of light and windows, have your guests sign a board framed by a windowpane, give out windowbox flowers, and have your table numbers be presented inside wooden "shutters" that sit open on the table.

L OVERS, forget your love,
And list to the love of these,
She a window flower,
And he a winter breeze.
When the frosty window veil
Was melted down at noon,
And the caged yellow bird
Hung over her in tune,
He marked her through the pane,
He could not help but mark,
And only passed her by,
To come again at dark.
He was a winter wind,
Concerned with ice and snow,
Dead weeds and unmated birds,
And little of love could know.
But he sighed upon the sill,
He gave the sash a shake,
As witness all within
Who lay that night awake.
Perchance he half prevailed
To win her for the flight
From the firelit looking-glass
And warm stove-window light.
But the flower leaned aside
And thought of naught to say,
And morning found the breeze
A hundred miles away.

Thanks so much for featuring one of my stationery pieces!

I love doing custom invitations for people, weddings and events are always so personal and I love hearing what each couple is doing that is unique to them. I get my most creative pieces this way, sample invitations that I come up with don't have nearly the kind of character!

Thanks again!

Beautifully Handmade has the most unique style that I've ever seen. I get cards from her all the time, birtday, father/mother's day, christmas, ect. And IF I ever get married I will certainly use her for my wedding invitations! She's the best at what she does and I recommend her to everyone. :)
