How sweet is this rosecut diamond ring by Sarah Perlis? Only $275. This would make a beautiful engagement ring for a couple who is saving up for the wedding or a larger ring!

Or how about for a couple who like the ring?

Engagement rings aren't required to be big and flashy; this one is lovely in its simplicity.

Joyful Abode - I completely agree.

I'm not a big fan of diamonds, or flashy jewerly. My fiance (who was determined to get me a diamond anyways) got me a custom version of this ring from Sarah Perlis in white gold. I love it because it's understated and delicate and still beautiful.

The engagement isn't about the ring, it's about the commitment.

My sentiments exactly. You should find a ring that you love....one that you want to wear every day of your life. Because it means something special to you.

I have relatives from Gotland (and island off of Sweden), and there is a specific ring that is designed off of a ring found in a Viking hoard, and almost everyone there uses them as their wedding ring (romantic, no?). Girls often buy them when they are in high school, and when they get married, they have it re-sized to become their wedding ring. My great-aunt and great-uncle still wear their rings from so long ago. I ended up buying one for about $35 (an astonishing sum for a seventh grader), and I just started wearing it every day, knowing that something this special and this pretty deserves to see the light of day.
