I love this series on unique centerpieces by With This Ring--especially this clever, inexpensive with with candles and a few peonies!

Wedding Blog Award!

I am so thrilled--I just learned that Victoria with Roses has won the "Most Charming Wedding Blog Award" on WeddingBlogAwards.com! Thank you so much, Monica! :)

Cameras

Oh. My. Gosh. I love this--For the goody bags for the "B-List Blogging Event", One Love Photo created these little pink plastic viewfinder cameras--with their own photos in the reels!

Simple

I stumbled across this photo by Victoria Pearson recently, and there is something so beautifully simple about it that made me stop and save it. As for translating it to weddings--what if your favors were wonderful, fresh-baked loaves of homemade bread? Maybe cranberry and walnut, or brioche, for a little sweetness?

Beautifully Ever After

I just wanted to share this beautiful new blog I found, Beautifully Ever After--pretty inspiration boards and color combinations, like Robins Egg Blue (I love blue and gray)!

Conversation Hearts

Reception Idea: Put a bowl of these conversation hearts, from Crafts n Favors, in the ladies' restroom at your venue, for a sweet surprise!

Frames

Reception Idea: I love this display created for the Lela Rose show at Bridal Market (via The Bride's Guide). You could totally steal this idea for your wedding--frame the letters of your and your fiance's first names and surround them with framed photos or other meaningful pictures, and hang in front of a lounge area!

Brunch

I love this beautiful wedding brunch table by Chelsea Fuss (via Once Wed)--so charming! The yellow checkered table is perfect. I can imagine a menu of unusually-flavored waffles and syrup, buttercream-iced cupcakes, lemonade, scones, and perhaps an ice cream truck as an afternoon surprise! Other ideas: a silhouette artist cutting guest portraits as favors; a black and white checkered dance floor; a jazz quartet playing in the corner; and lots of parasols.

Telegram

I love this invitation, found on Casando Ideias!

Stationery

Invitation Ideas: I love Jayme and Chris's wedding from the latest issue of Martha Stewart Weddings, especially their creative stationery ideas: "The invitations, which Jayme bound and designed herself, were a series of miniature books -- A Wedding Celebration, Area Highlights, and Travel Guide -- encased in a linen pouch. Program information was printed on perforated business-card stock. Jayme designed and printed save-the-dates in a letterpress class and tucked them into sleeves with artfully punched holes. Invitation envelopes were calligraphed in blue, and the couple's wedding date was printed on the inner flap."

Engagement

Will and I did two engagement shoots this weekend! Here's a great shot from the Intrepid in New York City, taken by his wonderfully talented brother Chris. Will just got his Navy-issue leather pilot jacket last week--I love its 80s charm!

Pass the Rings

Ceremony Idea: I love this idea from the newest issue of Martha Stewart Weddings--Pass your wedding rings, tied onto a length of ribbon, through the rows, so each guess can bless the marriage before you slip them on.

Napkin Rings

Reception Idea: Treat your wedding dinner like a dinner party at your home. Think about details like napkin rings (this often goes unnoticed at a wedding). You can buy beautiful napkin rings for as low as $2 each at Crate and Barrel, or search flea markets for vintage ones. The photo above featured edible homemade bread napkin rings!

Pew Cards

I am in love with these silhouette pew cards! Include in family member's invitations, and have them give them to the ushers when they are seated.

Beauty

I love these insanely gorgeous photographs featured on Southern Weddings, by photographers Our Labor of Love. The white horse in Allison and Charlie's Valentine's wedding looks straight out of a fairy tale, as do the white tent and loose white roses... what a brilliant idea.

Dress

Love the shape of this dress!

Claire

I just came across the new Claire Pettibone designs in the latest issue of Your Wedding Day (YWD), and they are breathtaking. You'll notice a lot of her dresses have a sheer, fuller layer surrounding a more fitted silk layer--so you still get that princess kind of look, but with the sensual close-fit look also.

Fashion Idea: I love the 40s-inspired sweater look of this bride! So classic!

Bridesmaid Gift Idea: Initial Pocket Mirror, only $14 from Anthropologie.

Wrapping

Favor Idea: I love this chandelier wrapping paper by Raspberry Creations on Etsy--this would make great packaging for favors! And I know this is a far concern for brides-to-be, but I'm really loving these baby announcement booklets also! They're so cute, and only $2.75 each!

Chairs

Reception Idea: I love the white garden chairs featured in this wedding on Style Me Pretty.

Letterpress Discount!

Seriously, this is the best special offer I've seen on stationery yet! Wedding Paper Divas usually doesn't have any promotions that include their William Arthur Letterpress and Thermography designs. But if you purchase 75 of a William Arthur stationery, you get 25 of the same product for free. Therefore, if you need 100 wedding invitations, you only order 75 and get 25 for free!

Also, a promotion for the Signature Collection: Get 25% off thank you cards when you order wedding invitations and response cards!

Empty Glass

Reception Idea: Write a short note to each guest on a small slip of paper and set it in their empty wine glasses. Or, roll them like a scroll and tie with ribbon.

My Wedding Workbook

I'm a paper/binder girl myself, but I'm loving this free online wedding planning site, My Wedding Workbook. It's super-easy to navigate, and covers things like calendars, checklists, budgets, guest lists, vendors and gift registries--basically everything you might need!

Red Wagon

Fill an old vintage Radio Flyer or a red wheelbarrow with drinks or favors at an outdoor wedding.

Stories By Everyone

Guest Book Idea: I love the personalized guest books by Stories By Everyone. You can combine blank pages with custom pages like "Our Story", Engagement Photos, "Ten Things [Bride] Loves about [Groom]", Important Dates, and much more. You can also print out planning sheets to help you customize the book before you order. Plus, it's not expensive--only $38!

W. Scott Chester

A reader alerted me to the photography of W. Scott Chester, an Atlanta-based photographer duo who takes the most beautifully framed shots! They have such a knack for staging, props and unique backgrounds!

Pinata

If you're having an more casual outdoor wedding with lots of children in attendance, consider getting a pinata for the children to break--it's not only fun for them, but it's great entertainment for the adults!

Checkers

If you're lucky enough to get to create your own dance floor (if you're having a tent, for example), go for black and white checkers--such an unusual look for a wedding!

Ruby

Seriously, how great would ruby slippers be for a pair of wedding shoes, hidden beneath a classic white dress? Or what about a Wizard of Oz inspired wedding--a cute dog as a ring bearer, an aisle of yellow brick, a picnic reception under a tent on a farm field?

Wishing Well

Navy wife Emily gave me this great idea--set aside a bowl of pennies and a jar filled with water and ask guests to make a wish for your new marriage.

Choir

It has always been one of my dreams to have a choir sing a capella at my wedding. Our songs: "Ave Maria", "Set Me as a Seal", and "Eternal Father, Strong to Save" (the Navy Hymn). Photo by Our Labor of Love.

Drama

I love the drama of this groomsmen photo by Our Labor of Love... exquisite.

Bridal Shower

Here are a few photos from my bridal shower tea at the The Olde Mill Inn in New Jersey (thanks to Laura for the pictures!). A lot of people came from really far away--New York City, Long Island, upstate New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington DC--and it was the most wonderful day!
