Love this idea from Elegant Bride: For a beach wedding, buy small wooden paintbrushes at your local hardware store, then attach a pretty tag that says, "Brush the beach from your feet." It's a simple way for guests to get the sand off their toes, moving from ceremony to reception!

Complete with lollipops, popcorn, a ferris wheel, tickets, games, a photo booth, goldfish, a balloon artist, candy booth, ice cream... what a creative idea and a breakaway from the traditional reception. And I'm SURE all the guests were blown away!

Love this idea from Brides: Instead of the same-old flower arrangements placed at the center of each table, consider placing flowers in glass bulbs and hanging them from the ceiling.

Rs2guru

Take a look at Rs2guru Invitations' New Site! Their website is super-easy to navigate, and extremely affordable. You can shop by color or style, and even read all about the weight and quality of the papers they use (something you can rarely find elsewhere). I love the simple elegance of their stationery--blue and white, and pink and white, are excellent color palettes for a wedding.

TNT's Wedding Day

I am a HUGE fan of TNT's new show, Wedding Day. It is nice to see a feel-good show like this air once in a while! In each episode, a deserving couple is surprised with a dream wedding planned by celebrity event planner and food expert Alan Dunn and celebrity wedding planner Diann Valentine. Normally, the show airs on Thursdays at 8pm ET/PT on TNT, but tomorrow (July 4th), watch Army captains Christina and Shawn get their dream wedding after 4 years of being engaged! The show airs at 9am ET/PT. This episode is especially close to my heart not only because my fiance and I also had a long engagement, but in one month, I will be a military wife! It is so nice to see two members of the armed services being honored in such a beautiful way.

Blooms by the Box

I'd like to welcome Blooms by the Box back as a sponsor on Victoria with Roses (they really are an amazing company, with excellent customer service), and also introduce you to their beautiful blog! Dedicated entirely to flowers and full of stunning pictures, Blooms by the Box's blog explains how to mix and match styles and colors, not only for your wedding but for your house as well. I'm a bit of a flower addict myself when it comes to decorating, so I loved this tip: To achieve a calming effect, use blues in every hue, reflecting the natural blues of the sea, space and sky.

Rings

Prize alert: Inspired by the movie The Proposal, OneWed is awarding the ultimate prize to get in on the trend of proposing to her man- a pair of hand engraved Platinum wedding bands from jewelry designer Kirk Kara, worth approximately $5,000! Just explain in 200 words or less how you would propose!

Pink Cake

Love this Pink Champagne Cake (and recipe included): What a great shower, or even wedding, cake!

New York Wedding Event

Heads up to New York brides: Sip mimosas and nibble on pastries at The Plaza Hotel, and learn
"The Art of Planning Your Own Wedding" on September 13, 2009, hosted by Private Receptions. Go here for more info.

Wedding Day Shirt

Okay, I am really in love with this great new company called Claridge + King. Not only is their website gorgeous, but they have cornered the market on "his" clothes made for "her." You know those clothes you always steal from you fiance (his button-down shirt; his undershirt to wear as a tank top; etc?) Their idea was to take those clothes and make them into sexy casual womenswear. They sell a limited number of beautiful products, made with fine cotton, spandex and bamboo--the Tunic; the Tank; the Palazzo Pant; the Boxer; the Undershirt... but their signature product is the His is Hers Shirt. It is "his" button-down, cut to "her" proportions. It would make a great prep shirt, especially since you can customize it with a monogram on the tail or your wedding date inscribed on the cuff! Price: $95 + $28 for monogram or +$36 for monogram and date.

Home

What a great idea for a home wedding--a house letterpressed into your invitation design! By Paisley Tree Press.

Candles

What a neat product: Jimmyjane's natural emollient massage candle doubles as an aromatherapy candle when you light it, but it melts into massage oil that can be drizzled on the skin. Some scents: Truffle + Gardenia and Honeysuckle + Clover.
