H is for Home. Why not have your wedding in the house your grew up in? Keep it small. Save money. Make it beautiful and intimate.

G is for Game. Model your wedding around a chess game. Ask guests to dress in black and white; use vintage chess pieces for favors or in invitations; set tables up in a grid like a chess board; have chess tables set up in the cocktail hour; have a black and white checkered dance floor; and don't forget to use the idea that "the King found his Queen"!

F

F is for Feather. Feathers are associated with flying, which is often associated with the feeling of love. Theme your wedding around feathers by choosing a dress that incorporates feathers, having guests throw bags of feathers instead of rice, using feathers in your flower arrangements, and serving food like quail instead of filet mignon (or avoiding meat completely).

E

E is for Emerald. Theme your wedding around the birthstones of you and your groom. For example, if his is diamond and yours is emerald, make your wedding colors green and white. You can also add a lot of touches like rock candy, crystal centerpieces and favors, a crystal fortune teller, astrology chart, etc.

D

D is for Drama. A lot of cities have old movie houses or vintage theaters that would make a unique reception space. How different if you also used the screen to show a home movie or clip of your favorite romance?

C

C is for Cottage. If there is a house you've always loved, like a cottage by the sea, knock on the door and ask if you can rent the house or its ground for your wedding. You never know-money can convince a lot of people!

B

B is for Beauty. Instead of matching your bridesmaids' dresses, ask them to each wear the same shade of bright red lipstick, the same style of stockings, the same shoes, or the same bright eyeshadow.
